We need a prescription from your doctor to prepare your prescription.
- Your doctor may give you a prescription by hand, or may arrange for one to be sent to your nominated pharmacy electronically. You may ask your doctor to send it to any pharmacy in the UK!
- If you need a repeat prescription, we recommend that you use your doctor's on-line service: this gets the request to them as quickly as possible. If you wish we can pass on your repeat requests to your GP on your behalf.
- Once you have requested your repeat from the doctor, it will take a little time for them to get it to us, anything from two to four days.
- What we do:
......Any prescription you hand to us over the counter we will prepare for you there and then, providing we have the medications in stock (we keep a large stock of all commonly used medicines).
.......We will start to process electronic prescriptions as soon as we receive them, and order any medicines we don't have in stock. Many prescriptions are ready the same day, and the majority by 2pm the next day. If we have to wait for a medicine to be delivered it may take 48 hours.
With our new text messaging service, we can let you know when it is ready so you know for sure it can be collected.
You are very welcome to collect your medicines from our pharmacy, or you can make use of our free home delivery service which runs every weekday and is available to all our customers in Frome and surrounding villages.
